Quality Control

Food-Contact Safety, Verified Step by Step

Food-contact safety is the core priority of our quality-control workflow for all laminated pet food packaging films and bags. Every raw material, ink, adhesive, and finished pouch follows one framework: EU and US food-contact regulation, GMP production, and independent third-party verification.

EU Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004

The fundamental EU framework for all materials intended to contact food and pet food across the European Economic Area. It enforces three core principles: packaging must be sufficiently inert to prevent harmful substance migration, must not bring about unacceptable changes in food composition, odour, or flavour, and must carry full traceability from raw material to finished roll film and pouch.

US FDA 21 CFR 177.1520

The FDA specification for polyolefin resins safely used in food-contact packaging. We source polyethylene and polypropylene films that comply with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520, with solvent-extraction and composition testing to confirm fitness for dry, fatty, or aqueous pet food — ensuring no unsafe chemical transfer.

GMP — Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006

Good Manufacturing Practice governs every production step from lamination, printing, and converting onward, so compliance is built into the process rather than tested in at the end. Combined with 1935/2004, it underpins the Declaration of Compliance we provide for customer records and audit requirements.

SGS Third-Party Verification

We cooperate with SGS, a globally recognized independent testing institute, to run full food-contact safety tests on key packaging materials: overall and specific migration under simulated use conditions, heavy-metal screening, and restricted printing-ink and adhesive residues. SGS test reports are available upon request to support brand compliance, import clearance, and retailer audits.

1

Incoming Material Inspection

Film, ink, and adhesive lots are checked against specification before release to production.

2

In-Process QC

Print registration, lamination bond strength, and seal strength are checked inline and offline.

3

Compliance Review

Each structure is matched against EU 1935/2004 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for the target market.

4

SGS Laboratory Testing

Migration, heavy-metal, and residue testing on key materials through SGS.

5

Declaration of Compliance

An official DoC is issued per production batch family for your records and audits.

Documentation

Certificates & Audit Reports

High-resolution certificates and audit reports are available upon request.

Documents shown cover food-contact safety, recycled content and packaging-material standards for our pouch structures. Full-resolution copies and declarations of conformity are available on request.
